We are super stoked to share that SMCiians participated in the Tug of War challenge again and winning being it’s habit with full enthusiasm made everyone proud at the Dum Laga Ke Haisha event by NSE on 30th November, 2024 at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, New Delhi. Our Men's team - 'SMC Warriors' emerged as the Champions securing the Ist position in a tightly contested competition while our Women's team secured the 3rd Position - an incredible achievement! With the great mentorship and strategies the teams were led by two able captains @ViineetGoyal @Monika respectively. 🤩 It was a great opportunity for all of us to represent our company at this prestigious event and showcase the sportsman spirit and harmony that we possess. Today we celebrated our 34th Foundation Day by building a Greener Legacy through Sustainable Practices and collective community engagement with a green Initiative of plantation drive 🌳. SMC Global joined hands with Municipal Primary School JJ Shadipur for a greener future🌱☘️ and planted about 250 saplings. The event was marked by esteemed presence of our Thought Leaders under supervision and instruction of Environment Enthusiasts who educated SMCiians about the plant saplings and their benefits and how as a responsible individual we can give back to the environment to ensure the balance. The occasion was filled with heartwarming and exciting energy of amazing students who equally participated and up the colors through their creative posters and cheered for the greener future. Shining a light on the power of gold! 🌟 SMC participated at the #ASSOCHAM’s 15th International Gold Economic Forum held on 2nd December 2023, where our thought leader Mrs. Shruti Aggarwal shared her insightful knowledge. She spoke about how the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between India and the United Arab Emirates, along with the launch of the India International Bullion Exchange (IIBX) in Gift City, is impacting the gold industry in India. The reduction in costs due to CEPA has led to a significant increase in Indian jewelry exports to the UAE, and the IIBX is expected to bring transparency and order to the gold market, potentially making India a major player in the global gold industry. Her session shared insightful analysis such as: • CEPA making gold cheaper for Indian manufacturers, resulting in a 1% cost advantage resulting in Indian jewelry exports to the UAE being 5% cheaper compared to other competing nations, such as Malaysia and Turkey. • Cost reduction leading to a substantial 16.5% increase in Indian jewellery exports to the UAE within a year. • India International Bullion Exchange (IIBX) expected to being a game-changer for the Indian gold industry, with the potential to make India a price setter for gold globally with an aim to bring order and transparency to the gold market.
